After uploading my audio, I "import the upload" using the IA webform. This form has a textarea for describing the recording.

I am saying that formatting is not preserved for the text I enter into the text area. Newlines are not respected.

It appears that the text is just copied into an html file (loaded into a table cell, preceded by a paragraph tag).

I was able to get what I want by just inserting a PRE tag before my list.

I guess my question was can I put HTML tags in my description and notes, and I guess the answer is yes (right now). But will this be supported in the future?

Here is the example I just changed:

Thanks

In the (near) future only a subset of HTML tags will be acceptable. But I imagine PRE will be one of them. Regardless, the description field should have preserved your formatting. I'll look into it.
